If there’s one constant in my life it’s that I’m always looking for ways to take care of my naturally curly hair. Since making the “big chop” in 2017 it’s been my mission to not only style my curls, but to deeply heal my hair after literal decades of chemical treatments. Early on in my curly hair journey I discovered a product that would, quite literally, change my life – the Love Ur Curls All-In-One Styler.
In April 2025, I was blessed to start a brand partnership with Love Ur Curls, and through that opportunity I’ve been able to test several of their products. But here’s the thing – I’d be buying these products whether or not I was working with Love Ur Curls, that’s the level of quality here!

Today I’m walking you through the exact products I’m loving & using, and this Friday you can see exactly how I use them to wash, style, and diffuse my 3B-3C-4A curls on the YouTube Channel!

The New Products!
Most recently, I received two packages containing products that were new to me: Exfoliating Scalp Scrub ($29), Healthy Scalp Serum ($45), Scalp Massager ($20), Elixir Oil ($49), Split End Mender ($42), and The Extra Large Satin Scarf ($33). I shared my thoughts on the Exfoliating Scalp Scrub in the “Underrated Hair Heroes” post and my opinions have stayed the same – these products are truly irreplaceable!

Unfortunately for me, these packages arrived during my recent allergic reaction fiasco, so I hadn’t tested the Elixir Oil, the Split End Mender, the satin scarf, or the Healthy Scalp serum until recently. And now that I have, I can safely say that I am incredibly impressed!
Without a doubt the product I’m most smitten with is the Elixir Oil: a mix of pure avocado oil, grape seed oil, jojoba seed oil, black cumin seed oil, rosemary leaf oil, gooseberry fruit oil, moringa seed oil, and Vitamin E, this product is no joke! Truly, a little bit goes a long way – one dropper full is enough for all of my curls and to apply to my cuticles!
The Split End Mender ranks second for me, as it was a product I didn’t even know was missing from my routine! This product does exactly what it claims to do – mend your split ends, using Love Ur Curls trademarked StrandSeal Technology. You can apply this product to damp or dry hair (I preferred applying it on damp hair!), and watch your split ends vanish before your eyes!
I’d say the Scalp Massager and Extra Long Satin Scarf are equally weighted; both are tools that I have been using for years to nourish and protect my hair, and I must say that this is one of the highest quality scalp massagers I’ve ever used! Not only is it ergonomically shaped to sit better in your hand, and more comfortably, the bristles are stiff enough that I don’t feel the need to apply extra pressure on my head – I know the built up product and oils are being exfoliated away! And while I use a satin scarf to protect my hair when I sleep, it’s also a hair accessory that I use during the day!

And finally, the Healthy Scalp Serum. This is also a product that can be applied to damp or dry hair, and I’ll be honest, I’ve only tried it once so far. The bottle itself has an applicator tip, used to apply the serum either directly to your scalp – as I tried – or with your hands. But, after applying I began massaging the product into my scalp, disrupting the curl pattern at the root and causing my strands to frizz. I reached out to my L.U.C., rep, Vanessa, and she recommended using a tapping motion rather than a circular, massaging motion, so I’m excited to give this product another try!
My Wash Day Heroes & My Process
I’ve shared my wash-n-go process before, but since incorporating the Love Ur Curls 3 Step System I’ve made a few adjustments. Now that we’re moving into the cold and dry winters of New England, I’m adding more days in between washes. Because of this, I like to start with the Exfoliating Scalp Scrub to really clarify my scalp and loosen any built up product.
Next I’ll move into my typical routine with the 3 Step System ($68) – utilizing the scalp massager while I’m shampooing (which I concentrate on my roots), and detangling with a wide tooth comb after applying the conditioner. All of the Love Ur Curls products are described as “hydrophilic”, meaning that they love water, so you end up using a lot less product each time. And because the shampoo and conditioner are formulated with moringa oil, my hair isn’t left feeling dry or straw-like!

Once I’ve rinsed out the conditioner it’s time for Step 3 – the All-In-One Styler ($28)! I don’t need to rehash how obsessed with this product I am, but I will tell you that since receiving the liter sized bottle with the pump ($75), I am using what appears to be a lot less as I only need one pump per section of hair! And to seal all of those good oils and hydration into my hair while I’m still in the shower, I finish up by applying the Irish Sea Moss Gel ($29) – part of the Black Label Collection – to each section, and securing my hair in a microfiber towel.
How I’ve Been Styling
I like to leave my hair wrapped in a microfiber towel for at least an hour after the shower, or longer depending on my schedule. During that time I’ll continue with my skincare and makeup routines.
Immediately following the removal of the towel, I’m adding the Split End Mender to the bottom inch of my strands. This will help to seal the ends, preventing the breakage and frizz that comes from winter weather. I follow up with the Elixir oil, applying a generous amount to my ends and a smaller amount to the strands surrounding my part.
Diffusing is not a step I do frequently, but each time I do it I tell myself, “I should do this more often!” In the past I tried to use my diffuser (a nozzle I can add to my hair dryer) as if it was a hair dryer – flipping my hair upside down, and really manipulating my curls in the hopes of getting it dry as quickly as possible. It wasn’t until recently that I learned those behaviors were the fastest way to create more breakage and promote more frizz!
When diffusing your curly hair it is important to limit how much you move the hair dryer, and how much you manipulate your curls! Stick in spot a bit longer than usual, blowing from the top down to encourage your curls to stay in formation. And, make sure you’re utilizing the cooler settings on your hair dryer, as blasting high heat can also cause damage.

At the end of the day, I’ll wrap my hair in the satin scarf and a satin bonnet to prevent friction-caused breakage. And the next day, I’ll touch up any frizzy curls with the Volumizing Foam, which I have reviewed here!
