As we wind down the month and head into the summer season, I’m taking a moment to be grateful for one of my biggest supporters and best friends – my mom, Stacey! Over the years she has become the unofficial W.A.T.S. intern, photo shoot assistant, Behind-The-Scenes-content-capturer, and travel coordinator!

Throughout this past month we’ve gone on several mini adventures, experiencing all that our home state of Connecticut has to offer! Earlier this month she joined me for the most recent Ladies Night Event at Renee’s Resale Clothing Outlet, before taking our newest pieces to one of our favorite local haunts; Hopkins Vineyard, where we celebrated Mother’s Day with my sisters! And rounding out the month, Stacey has recently jumped on the LABUBU craze, so we spent this past weekend in two increasingly popular stores, Pop Mart and Miniso.
Let’s get into it!

Ladies Night & Mother’s Day Excursion!
You may remember that during last year’s Vintage Market Days event, I had the pleasure of meeting Renee Mizrahi, the owner of Renee’s Resale Clothing Outlet! She often hosts Ladies Night events, and I was finally able to bring Stacey with me!
Upon entering the warehouse-sized store, she was overwhelmed but ended up loving it! And, we both left with pretty stellar hauls – Stacey found a pair of brand-new-never-been-worn-still-in-the-box, hot pink tulle Christian Louboutin pumps, a lacy duster-meets-shrug, and a 70s inspired dress!

I ended up walking away with the most exquisite red and white houndstooth printed Escada suit set featuring a short pencil skirt and calf length coat! Unfortunately, I was so distracted by the perfect fit of the jacket that I didn’t notice that the skirt is significantly larger than I am – I’ll be taking it to the tailor before wearing it! I also found the Italian brocade peplum and Saks Fifth Avenue tops that I wore to Middlesex Fashion Week, and a lilac silk blouse!
After finding some truly incredible pieces, we took them out on the town to celebrate Mother’s Day at Hopkins Vineyard! And you guys know me well enough by now to know that as soon as my eyes landed on that red Escada set, I was mentally styling it for our vineyard date!

The SoNo Collection Mall Trip!
Last weekend she surprised me with a trip to The SoNo Collection Mall, in Norwalk! As I said, we were hunting for any LABUBU merchandise that we can find, and we ended up with super cute items!
We went crazy in Pop Mart & Miniso, buying a bunch of chip flavors (and this woman went home and special ordered 5 bags of my favorite flavor), assorted toys and knick knacks, and I found two super cute makeup items: the ColorGram Juicy Drop Tint in shade 06 Nice Plum, and the limited edition Crème Shop x Pompompurin “Golden Dream” 9 color eyeshadow palette! I haven’t tested the palette yet, but I have been using the lip oil and I have to say I’m obsessed!

Afterwards we moved onto one of my all-time favorite mall destinations – Hot Topic! There I found the cutest pair of Hello Kitty boyfriend jeans and I freaking love them! I wore them to work recently and the students said that my outfit “ATE”, which if you’re like me and had to ask, means that they really liked my outfit!

I also found the cutest set of Howl’s Moving Castle themed hair barrettes! I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, but I know they’ll be the cutest accents to any sleek look!

What Do You Think?
I’m so grateful to have such an avid support system, especially one who loves to travel as much as I do! Thanks, Mom! In honor of today’s special post, the Florida Travel Vlogs from our December and April trips are going live on YouTube today!

I’ll be back next week to kick off a special series of articles all dedicated to our favorite activity – taking a vacation! That’s right, the month of June will be dedicated to all of my favorite tips and tricks to make your vacation the best it can be! And, make sure to check out the We Aim To Slay YouTube channel throughout the month for vacation-themed hair and makeup tutorials!
