Happy Easter Everyone!

For today’s special edition holiday post I’m sharing a quick and easy look, perfect for all of your Easter and Springtime gatherings! And, make sure you head over to the We Aim To Slay YouTube Channel to see exactly how I created it!
The Makeup
To create this sparkly pink eye look I started with my base makeup – my application method can be found here, and my preferred products can be found here! – before grabbing three ColourPop eyeshadow palettes; Sailor Moon Pretty Guardian, Malibu Barbie, and Of Quartz!
After completing the base makeup, apply highlighter directly onto the inner half of your eyelids – I’m currently using the Benefit Cookie highlighter! Next, using a fluffy brush, apply a neutral base eyeshadow shade such as a beige or nude tone, starting on the outer half of your eyelid and blending in towards your inner corner. This will help blend out the highlighter shade while keeping the inner half of the lid bright!
Now we’re moving into color, starting with the Malibu Barbie palette and the shade “Follow The Sun”, which we’ll apply all over the eyelid. Next grab a tapered brush which we’ll use to add depth to the crease with the Of Quartz shades “Granite Access”. This taupe ish-brown will pull more purple against the pink shade, adding depth and shadow without stealing attention! Using the tapered brush, bring your outer corner down on an angle towards your lash line to create a cat-eye shape, and using the same brush, you can blend this shade into your lid color.
To finish off the eye we’ll be adding a highlight color to the inner eye – I’m using the Malibu Barbie shade “Cali Girl”! Next I’ll be tightlining both lashlines with the NYX Satin eye pencil in black, and using an angled liner brush I’ll smoke the outer edge into a little wing! Finish with your favorite black mascara, and your favorite setting spray to keep your look in place all day!
For lips I echoed the pinks from the eye look, starting with the Malibu Barbie x ColourPop Creme lipstick in shade Malibu Sunset, and topped that with the Sailor Moon x ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip in shade Moon Tiara!

The Hair
I recently found the absolute cutest little set of bunny ears, made of lavender tulle and featuring pearl accents! These ears, that I found at the Claire’s display at Walgreens, were the focal point of this look and I knew I wanted them to be the stand out item!
I made a set of messy buns near the top and center of my head to serve as the perfect backdrop for the ears – how do you think the look turned out?!

The Look
In keeping with the spirit of the classic Easter egg hunt I opted for a more casual outfit, selecting a pair of rhinestone sandals by White Mountain Footbeds that I found at T.J. Maxx and a pair of paper bag and high waisted bag denim shorts from SheIn. To pull in the lavender shade of the ears I opted for an off the shoulder top in the same shade. This shirt is from Venus and it’s one of my favorites! I love a bell sleeve and I love off the shoulder necklines, so having both in one piece is like a dream come true!
