I spent the week of Christmas in my family’s vacation house in Florida with my mom and our dogs – here’s how we spent our time! You’ll be able to visit the We Aim To Slay YouTube Channel to watch my Florida Travel Vlog later today!
What We Did & Accomplished
While it’s important to take time to rest and recuperate from the fast-paced energy of the day-to-day, this vacation was also the first We Aim To Slay brand trip! I was able to dedicate the entire week to working exclusively on W.A.T.S. content – post writing, photo and video shooting, video editing, and content scheduling!

This allowed me to shoot several different shoots, film many of the tutorials you’ll be seeing on our YouTube channel in the coming weeks, and review new products to share with all of you!

Most exciting, and one of the main points of this trip, was to take my puppy, Dante, on his first road trip and vacation! While riding in the car for an extended period of time wasn’t his favorite, I was impressed to see how many rest areas also offer dog parks! Not only was he – and his best friend Mylee – able to explore the Eastern seaboard with us, but they got to make new friends along the way!

And while the main intention of this trip was to be productive, there was no shortage of vacation activities!
Where We Went
Luminosa Miami
On our first day in West Palm Beach, my mom saw an ad for a light installation called Luminosa: Festival of Lights in Miami. We decided it would be the perfect way to spend Christmas evening – and I swear, there are no words to describe this experience, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

Jupiter Dog Beach & Riviera Beach Marina
These were the highlights of the trip according to Dante! Not only did he get to splash around in the water – his absolute favorite activity – but he got to run around, explore, play, and meet new doggies!

We Also…

My Favorite Looks!
You know I love an opportunity to dress up! Here are some of my favorite looks from my trip – hair, makeup, and outfits included!
Overall I love this outfit, but you may have seen in my edited blog post and on my social media that there has been some major controversy with the brand Lavish Ivy. So, ignoring the problematic origins of this dress, I really love how I styled this look for Christmas evening in Miami!
I styled the dress with this fuzzy jacket from Charlotte Russe, the same lace booties that I wore to see the Wicked Movie, a pair of black bow earrings that feature dangling pearl accents, the rhinestone sunglasses from Temu, and the AB rhinestone and gold link chain necklace from Renee’s Resale! And don’t worry – this makeup look is a YouTube tutorial in the making!

The best day, in Dante’s opinion, was when we went to the Jupiter Dog Park! In order to splash around with my pup, I wore this long sleeve, rash-guard style one piece from SheIn with a pair of white linen pants, my SheIn denim jacket, and my Olakai sandals!

I spent the entire next day in one of my favorite items in the whole world – a bathing suit! This one shoulder style is unfortunately a discontinued style by the brand, Haute Swimwear – the sister brand of Astoria Activewear! Although this swimsuit is no longer available, they recently released the several new styles and collections, which I cannot wait to order! I styled this bikini with a white gauzy cover up that I originally bought for a costume party, a pair of pink hexagon Abella Eyewear sunglasses, and these super cool beaded multi color earrings! And make sure to use the code ‘WATS15’ to save 15% off all Haute Swimwear orders!

After sunning by the pool, I switched into this cropped sweater (Shein) and denim mini dress (Walmart) to go out for lunch and to get pedicures! I added a bit of flair by keeping the sunglasses and beaded earrings, but added my Steve Madden platform sandals!

No trip of mine would be complete without a chance to get some exercise – especially when I can wear my Astoria Activewear! I recently reviewed the set I bought from the Blue Lattice Collection, so I’ll just leave these photos of Dante and I playing in the Marina!

And last but certainly not least, I finally had the chance to style this super adorable maxi dress by Vessita! We made reservations for The Melting Pot to have one “fancy” dinner out, and I love how this outfit and hair came together! I’m a bit iffy on the makeup, but that tutorial – and this dress unboxing! – will be added to YouTube in the near future!

What We Ate
I’ve never met a food I wasn’t willing to try, and this trip was no exception! Below, a smattering of the incredibly delicious food we ate in places such as Just Salad, Bolay, The Melting Pot, Too Jays, and the delicious confections made by my mom!

What Do You Think?
One of my New Year’s resolutions for this year is to take myself on more trips, and although this vacation was technically the end of 2024, I think it was the perfect way to set the tone for this year! Are you planning any getaways for 2025? Let me know in the comments below!
I’ll be back next week to share a Winter edition of #SevenDaysOfSlay!
Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
