The Newest Astoria Activewear Collection!

Happy November everyone!

One of my New Year’s resolutions for this year was to get back into a consistent exercise routine, and my reward would be treating myself to new activewear! While it was a bit of rough going in the first half of the year, I’ve been getting back to the gym and so, it was time for a little treat! Perfect timing, as my go-to activewear brand, Astoria Activewear, has recently released a new collection!

The Blue Lattice Collection

The Blue Lattice Collection consists of a set of shorts, leggings, two different bra tops, two cover ups, and a headband. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to get my hands on several pieces!

One of my favorite aspects of clothing sets is the wearability. A two piece set has the potential to become at least three new outfits – and with a little creativity that number jumps exponentially! So, in the spirit of endless outfit combos I decided to purchase two new pieces – the Astoria LUXE Balance Signature Sports Crop top, and the Astoria LUXE BALANCE Crossover Legging.

Last year, when I first was approved as an Astoria Ambassador, there were several pieces I had trouble deciding between but  ended up purchasing the Astoria LUXE BALANCE Sports Crop in Black and Astoria LUXE BLOSSOM Short in Cherry. In that time, Astoria has released some unbelievably adorable new collections including the Gingham in several colorways, the Barre Collection, and the newest, the Blue Lattice!

My Thoughts on the Collection

I placed my order on Monday, Sept, 30, and it arrived on Wed., Oct. 16. Upon opening the package I was extremely impressed by the quality of the fabric – it’s thick enough to not worry about your undergarments showing while being lightweight. And although I assumed it would be a lighter shade of blue, I still really like the color!

I ordered both the top and bottom in a size medium (I’m currently 150 lbs and 5’7”) and they both fit really well! The top features removable cups, but the straps are not adjustable; I don’t feel like they need to be adjusted, but it is a nice feature to have. The leggings also fit really nicely!

Over the two years I was married I ended up gaining nearly 40 pounds. I’ve lost about 30 at this point, but I haven’t gotten my core back to my pre-wedding days yet, so I appreciate the crisscross waist band and the high-waisted aspect of the leggings – it makes me feel much more confident in wearing them out!

Putting Them to the Test!

Before traveling to Mississippi for the first IAWP preliminary pageant I got in a quick full body workout to test out my new pieces! Both the top and the leggings are very comfortable, featuring great movement and breathability!

I also wore them for a portion of my road trip from Connecticut to Mississippi – a 20 hour drive! Not only did I end up looking cute upon arriving, but I was comfortable while in the car.

It’s super soft! The brand does not recommend putting items in the dryer, but I’ve been washing and drying them without issue!
