My Ulta and Sephora cards have been getting a hefty workout of late. But you know what they say….

And, it’s a pain that I love to endure.
In the spirit of that beautiful pain, here are some of the new products that I’ve been loving recently!
One of my new products is Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Oil-Free Moisturizer.

You get 2.54 fl oz in the tube, and the formula includes aloe vera and bamboo which claims to “[aloe vera] softens skin while [bamboo extract] absorbs oil to maintain a balanced complexion” [sic].
I’ve been using this moisturizer for about two weeks so far and I’ve noticed that my makeup has been lasting much longer than before. I think that’s because this moisturizer has a gel/cream hybrid consistency and really helps to control the oil build up that my T-zone is accustomed to. The only downside so far is the smell of the product; it isn’t horrible, but it’s not what you’d expect.
Next we have the much raved about Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.

With the help of my mom, Stacey, we found the perfect shade for my skin; #360. There’s so much to say about this product, in short it may be one of my top three foundations. You can find more of what I thought about it in my previous post, Testing the Fenty Beauty Foundation.
I’m not quite sure how this is possible, but up until recently I didn’t own a highlighter. When ever I would highlight I used a soft, shimmery, peach eyeshadow by M.A.C. It’s no surprise that I would look to one of my favorite brands, Urban Decay, to find the perfect highlighter.

The Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder in Aura is that perfect highlighter. It has a light, peachy, champagne tint so it looks super natural on my skin. It does have a bit of fall out though, so make sure to tap the excess product off of the brush before application if you don’t want glitter all over your face.
Sticking with my love of Urban Decay, I also got the VICE Sheer Shimmer Lipstick in Seismic.

This looks like a deep plum color, but because of the sheer formula, it makes the perfect everyday color for Autumn and Spring. This would also be a great layering piece, if used over some darker colors to lighten them or with a matte formula to add some shimmer and shine.
I’m always on the hunt for a great eyeliner, and by recommendation from my grandmother, I got the Tarte Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner in black.

What’s really cool about this product (something I didn’t even realize until I got it home and out of the package) is that it’s double ended, with one end being a sponge tip liquid eyeliner and the other end is a twist up crayon eyeliner. These happen to be my two favorite tips of eyelining products because I feel like they offer a little bit more control than a brush. But, like any liquid liner, a steady hand is necessary for straight and precise line work.
I’m always on the hunt for new products to try, so if you have any recommendations or suggestions for me to review, let me know in the comments below! Have a great day babes, and remember to SLAY ❤
