After much anticipation and the watching of ~many~ YouTube reviews (watch this one by Manny MUA, one of my favorite YouTubers!) I purchased the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna foundation *heart eyes emoji*.

With the help of my mom, Stacey, a hair and makeup artist, we were able to match for my perfect shade; #360.
After finding the correct shade, I applied the foundation completely and left it on for six hours. By the end of the day, I had forgotten I was even wearing makeup, the formula is that lightweight. And, because it’s a matte finish, it held up to my combination skin on one of the hottest days. Some oil did peek through, but I’m currently out of primer (*alarmed gasping*) and I didn’t set it with powder because I was just testing for feel and color.

The next day, I was going shopping and to lunch with my mother and grandmother; a perfect chance to test the foundation with a full face to see how much longevity it offered. Again, it was a ridiculously hot day for September in Connecticut, but the foundation held up better than Kronos holds up the sky.

The foundation lasted ALL DAMN DAY with only minimal blotting required, but again I didn’t use primer, although I did set it with the NARS Luminous Setting Powder and I think that made a big difference. Another great benefit to this foundation is that there’s literally no transfer once it’s set. I can’t tell you how many times I wiped my face due to sweat (ew) or because I’m a messy eater (double ew lol!), but not a trace of this product moved.
By the end of the day, my makeup had withstood the heat and all of the moving around I had done.

All in all, I’d say this foundation is a major hit, and not just because I love, Rihanna. This foundation is lightweight, a light to medium coverage level (but it seems like it could be buildable), and mimics the look of skin once it sets. I love that she came out with so many different shades to help match your skin tone as well as your base tones. The only thing I will say is, because she has so many shades, I would recommend going into a Sephora to test some out in order to find the right one. I must have tested at least five shades before my mom found this one. And, one of the young women at Sephora told me to give it about a minute or two to set and ensure that the color is a true match. For $34.00 you receive 1.08 fl oz of product, which I would consider a good price compared to my usual go to, NARS, at $48.00.
Have you tried any of the products in the Fenty Beauty line? If so, let me know what you thought in the comments below! Have a great day loves, and remember to SLAY!
