We Aim To Slay

We Aim to Slay seems to be a project that was a long time coming for me. I grew up on a horse farm, wishing to be a model (that never happened LOL), collecting fashion magazines, and pouring through fashion blogs.

At age twelve, I competed in my first beauty pageant and from there I knew I wanted to be in the fashion industry until my dying day. I attended SUNY Purchase, a college in New York State, where I studied literature and journalism, and even interned in the editorial department of Nylon Magazine.

After graduating I worked as a staff writer for the Bristol Observer and the Plainville Observer, in Bristol, CT. After the Covid-19 pandemic lead to the paper being closed, I worked a number of jobs until starting my current position as a paraeducator in a Connecticut high school.
