The March Round-Up!

The March Round-Up!

Welcome to the Makeup Round-Up! This is a monthly series where I’ll be sharing new makeup products, and the looks I’ve created throughout this month that weren’t highlighted in their own articles.

The Products

This month I was beyond excited to receive the newly launched Inicia Primer by Aora Mexico! I first learned about Aora Mexico and their plastic-free approach in the fall when I reached out to the brand and was sent the Mirame Eyeshadow Palette, Acariciame solid lip serum, and the Admirame eyeliner!

Inicia, the 12HR Illuminating Primer, was formulated to provide long-lasting glow while creating a defensive barrier between your skin and the “dulling effects of urban pollution,” according to their website. Containing ingredients such as cactus flower and shea extracts, this is makeup that feels like skincare!

Yes this is a primer, but it truly feels like a moisturizer on the skin and absorbs quickly so you’re left with a silky and glowing base! The Aora team even recommends using Inicia as “a glow-booster mixed with moisturizer or foundation, and even as a spot highlighter or body illuminator,” which I tried while volunteering at the 2026 Seymour Pink A Pink Night To Remember!

Inicia is now a mainstay in my base makeup rotation – a process I like to share when I change my routine or products!

The Classic Looks

I’ll be honest, March was a weird month – with the return of humid weather, I transitioned my hair from straight back to its natural curly state. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my curls, but the aesthetic change between straight hair and curly hair visually stumped me. I either played it incredibly safe with a smokey eye or my standard pageant look – shown above – or I went completely off the deep end and used every color available to me!

Smokey Eyes

I did my first classic smokey eye when initially testing Incia, using the Mirame palette…

…Then again in a slightly softer hue for a more daytime appropriate version…

Blue & Brown Smokey Eyes

…In a similar vein, I did a few variations of the blue-and-brown version of a smokey eye.

Everyday Makeup

This was also a month that, because I started being social again, I ended up doing some very subtle and wearable looks again.

Finding Unexpected Inspiration

Like I said above, if I wasn’t playing it safe I was taking colorful risks. Call it the “Luck of the Irish,” but it was like my passion was reignited! I drew inspiration from so many different and new sources!

Makeup for Your Inner Mermaid!

This ended up being my first and favorite look from the month! Earlier this year the account @/TheBallerinaBrideMUA went viral for her “fairy eyebrow” look; featuring glitter, sparkle and appliques, I was not surprised everyone went nuts for this look! When I decided to try it, I knew I was going to put my own spin on it…

The Bride! Movie

If there’s one thing you can count on it’s that I’m going to arrive dressed up, and dressed on theme! When we saw the trailer for “The Bride!” Stacey and I both knew we’d be dressing up – and I’m so glad we did, because the movie’s Instagram account ended up sharing my look!

Make sure to check out the outfit & nails tutorials on YouTube, also!

Forbidden Fruits Movie

Over this past weekend we returned to our home-away-from-home to see Forbidden Fruits, the newly released “Y2K mall horror-comedy”! Let me tell you, I haven’t felt that spiritually aligned with [the first half of] a movie in a long time!

This makeup and hair combo were my take on Y2K fashion – because I was only four-years-old when Y2K took place, there’s clearly a lot of 90’s influence in my look but I think the end result was adorable! I’ve added the outfit video below, but you can see the makeup and hair tutorials on YouTube, as well!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

After being inspired to create this rainbow-hued manicure, I instantly knew I wanted to recreate it as a makeup look! And, as this was my 2026 St. Patty’s Day makeup I was inspired to take the rainbow outside…

Green & Pink Drips

…And that photoshoot inspired me to once again recreate my nail art as makeup and photograph it outside, and truthfully, the makeup ended up being way cuter than the nails!

Watermelon Sugar

And rounding out the month, we’re back where we started – green and pink!

This look is actually quite subtle compared to the rest of the colorful makeup I created this month, making it the perfect entry point to add more colors into your makeup routine!

What Do You Think?

Is there a makeup look you’d like to see me try, or a product you’d like me to test in the next Makeup Round-Up? Let me know in the comments below! I’ll be back next month with another Monthly Round-Up, until then…

Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
