Last year I was thrilled to stumble upon an advertisement showcasing a vintage fair that would be held in my childhood home town – instantly I was hooked! I ended up going two out of the three days, and when I learned that they were returning this year for the weekend of April 11th – 13th I knew I had to attend!

While attending last year’s Vintage Market Days of Connecticut event I connected with one of the organizers, and was invited back this year free of charge! Thank you so much, Wendy, for not only organizing another awesome event, but for helping me have the best experience yet!
This past weekend I spent an awesome day with my youngest sister, exploring local and state based collectors and crafters – let me take you through the 2025 Vintage Market Days of Connecticut event!

Vintage Market Days
I wrote about my experience at last year’s event, including a brief history of VMD, which you can read here! I ended up finding some really incredible pieces, both for photoshoots and to wear in my real life!

This Year’s Haul!
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’ve been very intentional with the pieces I’ve been buying – partially in keep with my 2024 resolution of not buying new clothes, and partially in an effort to reduce my carbon footprint and live more harmoniously with the natural world. I tried to be very mindful of what I was buying and if I would truly wear the items I was pulling.
But in the spirit of transparency, I did end of spending most of my money on food this time, getting an assortment of fudge, two specialty meats and taste testing several gourmet pickle flavors – what can I say, I’ve never met a food I wouldn’t try!
Upon arriving I immediately made my way to Wild Heart Boutique, one of my favorite stores from last year’s event!

This year I found three knockout pieces – a blue-white-and-lemons printed maxi dress; an oversized blazer sporting a very subtle plaid pattern beneath clear micro-sequins; and the most beautiful gold necklace which features a mother of pearl heart and multi-colored Ishtar-star dangles!
The Necklace
I’ve shared my thoughts on accessories before – you can find them here! – and even though I always have been and always been an earring girl, I’ve been expanding into necklaces and bracelets more and more this year!
I was drawn to this necklace for many reasons – the necklace chain has many length settings, from a super tight choker to a dangle that falls right beneath my collar bone; the graceful femininity of the mother-of-pearl-heart; and these eight pointed star dangles, a symbol associated with my favorite Goddess, Ishtar!

I’ve styled it here with a one shouldered crop top from Astoria Activewear, denim shorts from SheIn, a pair of rhinestone sandals, and a pair of gold leaf hoops, but I know that this is a piece I’ll be wearing a lot!
The Dress
This dress was the first item that caught my eye upon entering the Wild Heart mobile store – owned by Lindsay Davis – and was completely shocked to learn it was only $30! I didn’t even try it on, I just grabbed it and kept shopping – and I was not disappointed!

I ended up styling this dress as the stand out piece in the look, opting for the Lor Francais feather, a pair of gold leaf hoop earrings, gold bangles, and a pair of rhinestone sandals by White Mountain Footbeds that I recently found at T.J. Maxx!
The Blazer
Do you ever sit on an idea for so long that you become convinced that it’s the right thing to do? That’s how I feel about this outfit, which admittedly, looks better without the blazer. In my head, the form-fitted combination of this knit cropped top and pleather pencil skirt – from T.J. Maxx and Target, respectively – would be the perfect neutral base on which the blazer would pop. But honestly, I think a pair of jeans and my caramel leather boots would look better. Here I opted for my Steve Madden platform sandals, the rhinestone and gold link choker from Renee’s Resale Clothing Outfit and a pair of the button earrings that I got at V.M.D’s!

The Earrings
After tearing myself away from Wild Hearts, my sister and I made our way through the grounds and admired the many vendors and unique items – such as this ceramic cabbage (I think it’s supposed to be some sort of serving dish or sugar bowl!)!

But when we stumbled upon a smaller booth that featured hand embroidered items we made a quick stop! We had found It’s Sew You! Embroidery. Both of us ended up selected button earrings, and they were so cute that I ended up getting two pairs!

V.M.D. Returns This Summer!
I love this event! If you’re in the Northeast or planning to be this summer, you’re in luck! Vintage Market Days of Connecticut will be returning this August! You can guarantee I’ll be adding these dates to my calendar – and I hope to see you there!

What Do You Think?
The more time I spend at Vintage Market Days, the more interested I become in the world of vintage goods! There’s so many incredible treasures waiting to be discovered, filled with history and the promise of your next best look! Let me know your favorite vintage items and stores – I’m always looking for recommendations!

I’ll be back next week, to share some of my favorite foods to eat when I’m preparing to compete in a pageant – because I’m taking the stage again this summer!
Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
