#SevenDaysOfSlay – Autumn Edition!

As the weather begins to cool, and the leaves begin to fall, I’m layering up for a weeks worth of Autumnal-inspired looks – that’s right, I’m back with another edition of #SevenDaysOfSlay! Let’s get into it!

Monday

It’s rainy and cold today so I wanted to have warm layers that would still be comfortable as the day went on. This is a go-to silhouette for my work life; black tights with black booties (from Plato’s Closet) and a set of frilly socks! These are meant to be worn with knee high boots, but I do some rolling and folding to make them sit above these ankle booties.

I paired them with a gray Old Navy brand t-shirt dress and a purple and gray tie-dye fringe cardigan. I slicked my hair back in a bun, and finished off the look with my blue Zenni Optical frames, a pair of silver mesh hoops, and the necklace I was gifted when I won my title!

Tuesday

I went with a quasi-monotone outfit on Tuesday, picking a maroon SheIn skirt with a ribbed, cropped white tank top from American Eagle, under my maroon-and-white striped button down, which I tied at the waist. I finished off the look by adding the rhinestone snake belt and topped it off with my denim jacket for warmth (it’s from SheIn).

Accessories included a pair of snake print loafers that I got from Walmart, the star and moon headband from SheIn, and a pair of golden star earrings that I’ve had forever. I pulled my hair back loosely with a black ribbon, and added my floral print Zenni frames.

Wednesday

This pair of Wild and Fable jeans have been sitting in my dresser for two years – they were a gift from my sister, Molly! And, they finally fit!

I paired the jeans with the same white cropped top I wore the day before, with black floral print button down which I French tucked, and the black moon phase cardigan from Hot Topic. Accessories included the rhinestone snake belt, the “peasant” shoes, a pair of gold butterfly earrings from Temu, and wrapped a black and gold scarf around my bun.

Thursday

At this point in the week you can tell that I’m so exhausted I could literally die… as evidenced by my hair.

I wore a pair of pleather joggers from Zara with a black long sleeve t-shirt. Over that I wore the DKNY silk duster from Renee’s Resale and belted it with the rhinestone snake belt.

For accessories I wore a pair of booties from Plato’s Closet and a pair of earrings I borrowed from my grandmother.

Friday

One of my co-workers gifted me with this incredible hot pink sweater by Vine & Love and I knew I had to give it a special moment!

The base of this look is a white tank top tucked into a black velvet a-line skirt. I added the sweater and tucked some of the front into the skirt, which I secured in place with the rhinestone snake belt! Additional accessories included the black peasant shoes, my hair pulled back with a black ribbon to make room for these amazing earrings featuring black bows and moveable, pearl-beaded wire fringes!

Saturday

Saturday started as a very relaxed morning of playing with Dante, photographing my newest manicure, and doing a little self care with a face mask! Afterwards, I got ready to meet up with my mom and siblings to attend the Harwinton Fair!

We’re the type of family that likes to dress on theme – and our theme was “The Craft” movie!

For my look I layered a bodysuit by the brand Iris beneath an American Eagle wrap skirt and my black and white flannel by Merona, bought at Target! To finish off the look I wore a pair of over-the-knee black suede boots from Temu. Accessories included the mini star earrings from Temu, a dagger shaped stud earring from Zara, a rhinestone drop earring from Forever 21, and a set of skeleton butterflies earrings from Temu!

Because I was wearing mostly the same color, I decided to leave my hair down and be a little more creative with my makeup.

I crafted this cranberry hued smokey eye using my Morphe 35H Hot Spot Artistry and the ColourPop Of Quartz palettes.

After creating my base – and trying a new technique of using contour beneath concealer – I applied pieces of medical tape along side my eyes to keep the lines really sharp. I started with a cranberry shadow as the main color, then used a dark brown and a sparkly black to build up the smoky look. I finished off the look with mascara primer and mascara, and the Clinique Almost Lipstick in shade Black Honey.

Sunday

I finished out the week by taking Dante to have a playdate with my Uncle’s two dogs! The pups had a blast, and the adults enjoyed a relaxing afternoon – and a delicious dinner!

I kept my outfit simple and comfortable by wearing my 90 Degrees by Reflex leggings (found on Amazon!) with a pair of black socks to keep the leggings tucked into my Doc Martens. On the top, I paired my Astoria LUXE BALANCE Sports Crop (you can save 15% off all your Astoria orders with code ‘WATS15’!) with a cropped knit sweater from SheIn and my denim jacket on top, also from SheIn!

For makeup I tried the “contour-as-concealer” trick again, but this time I used the Tarte Shape Tape instead of the Lancome and I think it worked better – but I’m still not convinced this is any different or better than other products or methods.

HEADER – What Do You Think?

Which look was your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

I’ll be back next week to share my thoughts on a new-to-me product – the Beauty Blender brand makeup brush and sponge cleaner!

Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
