My First Temu Order – Here’s What I Think!

After seeing all of the cute things Hubby bought for me during his Temu obsession, I was inspired to place my own order! Let’s review what I got!

Fuzzy Jammies Set

These are fantastic! I wore them for like 24 hours straight before forcing myself to put on a new set of lounge clothes – Lol! The jacket and shorts are more of a beige color, but the tank top is white. I’ll definitely be trying to style the top as a stand alone shirt!

Checkered Hair Clip

This clip is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, so I wasn’t sure how I’d end up using it or if it be relegated as a styling helper. I used it to hold the front back in a sort of half-up-half-down style, and I do like it, but I think that was only successful because I applied it on wet hair. At this point, I think I’ll mainly use it as a styling tool.

Scalp Massager

Even though I purchased this, I initially thought it would be a scam. These are supposed to promote blood circulation, similar to using a Gua Sha, which helps with cell turnover and hair growth. At best I thought it would feel nice on my scalp. Well, it certainly feels amazing! And I can feel for a fact that when used consistently it has helped to thoroughly cleanse my hair and scalp, adding to overall strength and shine!

Star Earrings

These are now one of my favorite pairs of earrings, simply because they’re small enough to wear in my third earring hole, their closure system is not easily loosened, and I’ve worn them 24/7 – even in the shower! – since they have arrived!

Heatless Curler

This is much longer than the first heatless curler I purchased, by Kitsch, and its core is more like a small pool noodle rather than the bendable wire of the Kitsch design. That means its a bit harder to secure to go to sleep (read that as a bonnet of some kind is mandatory). I’ve only tested it on my natural curls – which never works, so I’m not sure why I try it – I’ll update you once I’ve tried it on straight or blown out hair! This set also included a medium sized banana clip, which I’ll also be trying to use to style my hair!

Multipack of Gold Rings

Once I finally opened the package to shoot these product photos I learned that they mostly fit as midi-rings (middle, pointer, and my thumb – barely), fit as an actual ring on my ring finger, and fit a little loosely on my pinky. The pack is all gold – my favorite metal – with a nice mix of rings with rhinestones, textured bands, plain bands, wavy bands, and rings with heart cutouts, and one ring with a mini pearl. I think these will look super nice when shooting manicure shots!

Gold Letter Necklace

My skin tends to be very sensitive to metals which is why I rarely wear necklaces, but every once in a while I fall victim to the allure of all things cute. This was the case with this necklace (and the set of three immediately following). I’ve worn it once so far, and it did irritate my skin, so I’ll likely have to change the chain before I can wear it again.

Zodiac Necklace Stack

I’ve worn all three of these necklaces together once, and wore the zodiac symbol and constellation as a set, and while I think they’re adorable these necklaces did end up irritating my skin, so I’ll only be wearing these occasionally, and for short periods of time. The only thing to keep in mind is that all three chains are the same length, so you’ll have to stagger them yourself.

Braiding Bands

These are the shiny kind of braiding bands that aren’t my favorite, and they’re slightly bigger than the ones I prefer to use. Do they work? Yeah, they get the job done. Would I order again? Probably not. I’ll likely get more from Sally’s Beauty Supply, or even Walmart, because those are the type I like best.

Green Satin Hair Bow

I recently wore this on a visit to my grandparents house, styled with jeans, a body suit, and a knit duster. It’s super cute and unassuming, the perfect thing to jazz up a simple outfit!

To style, I started working on wet hair. First I separated the pieces closest to my face that tend to frizz the fastest. Then I began twisting each section individually, twisting away from my face. Then, I secured these two twists together using the braiding bands – once secure, bring over your head so that the band is now resting on the back of your head. This bow features a barrette to secure it, so I clipped that above the band, and that was it!

Sponges Multi Pack

I found these sponges to be very thick, I’ve only used one of them and I’ve only used it about twice, but I think I’m still partial to the Sephora brand sponge.

Black Boots

These boots where the main motivator behind this entire purchase! I’ve been on the hunt for a low heel, knee-high boot and while these are aesthetically perfect, I do think I’ll be better off investing in a proper pair. They’re a tad large in the foot, so my feet slide about; the leg laces never seem to stay as tight as I tie them, and the foot portion is a slightly different shade of black as the leg portion.

Rhinestone Glasses

These are fabulous! I have yet to wear them, but I think they’ll look super cool as a shoot accessory!

What Do You Think?

Have you used Temu? What do you think of this company? And, what do you think of these items? Let me know in the comments below! Personally, I do like the items that I received, but I wasn’t thrilled enough to place any new orders.

I’ll be back next week discussing the vintage fair I’ll be visiting with my sister, Molly, this weekend! Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
