Channel Valentine’s Day All Day Long!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Whether you’re celebrating with your significant other, your friends, or you’re spending the day at work, you’ll be able to channel those hugs and kisses all day long with these four looks that will take you from dawn to dusk!

Workout Look

I like to start my day by breaking a sweat! And, nothing motivates me to go to the gym more than wearing a cute workout look!

Both this sports bra and these leggings are originally from Victoria’s Secret, the PINK line and the VS Sport line, respectively. I bought this top at Plato’s Closet, and these leggings were gifted to me from my mom. In order to let all of my red pieces shine through, I topped this look with a muscle tank from Forever 21, featuring a close up of Johnny Depp in the movie “Cry Baby”.

Daytime Look

Next is a day time look, appropriate for work, school, or any day time outing!

My work style is a tad more preppy than my everyday style, with more modest silhouettes and hemlines. I channel my personal style through darker colored pieces such as these black and white pants.

But, the cornerstone of this look is the pink faux turtleneck; traditionally I haven’t been a fan of pink shades, but this raspberry tone is really complimentary on my skin tone. To protect me from the New England chill, I layered this beige fuzzy zip up jacket that Hubby got me from Urban Outfitters, and finished off my outfit with my Charming Charlie’s booties.

For my hair I created a big bun that could translate throughout the day. I like to balance my look, so when I cover my neck I like to pull back my hair. This also gives you an opportunity to add several accessories such as my add-a-pearl necklace, my pearl hoop earrings, and my pearl spider earrings. To keep the look work appropriate, I created my go to makeup look – a winged eyeliner, mascara, concealer, blush, brows, and pulled the look together with this a pink lip.

Evening Look

Next we have a dinner time look, perfect for hosting your gal-entine’s or a night on the town!

I’ve had this red dress for years, and it is always the perfect choice for a fabulous evening! Because there are gold bands around the arm cuffs, I often pair this dress with these gold, sparkly heels, but TBH these shoes are literally so uncomfortable because there’s no platform. The dress buttons from the hem to the waist and then the top ties shut. In order to add a bit more coverage, I layered a red lace bralette underneath the dress.

To keep warm (and fabulous!) all evening long, I added a gray fuzzy jacket from Charlotte Rouse, and tied the look together with this daisy crossbody bag from Dazzle Boutique.

I kept the bun and accessories from the previous outfit, but switched up the hot pink lip for a bright red one that would match the dress. To create I used NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Cruella as my lip liner, and topped it was a creamy red lipstick by Revlon.

After Hours Look

If you’re aiming for a steamy evening, it can be fun to spice things up with an alluring ensemble!

To achieve this sultry lounge look, I paired a pair of opaque tights with a red satin slip from Victoria’s Secret, then threw one of Hubby’s suit shirts over it. To add a bit of edge, I paired the look with these sparkly booties from ShoeDazzle.

I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum to let my hair and makeup be the standout aspects of this look. I left my hair down and voluminous, and added a single pair of simple gold hoops.

For makeup I created a red geometric look using a red lip liner pencil to outline the cut crease, used a cranberry/hot pink shadow to blend it out, filled in the lid with a gold shimmery shadow, mascara, and the same red for the bottom liner. Lips are the same red as above.

How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year? Either way, I hope you have a fun-filled and loving day! I’ll be back next week to walk you through one of the worst aspects of makeup – washing your makeup brushes!

Have a great rest of your week, and remember to SLAY!
