I’m so proud to present my new logo, created by the team at Black Pearl Custom Artwork!

I first met Black Pearl owner, Nick Stafko, while covering the 15th annual Pequabuck River Duck Race in the City of Bristol, CT – where I work as a staff writer for the Bristol

and Plainville Observer newspapers.
Black Pearl Custom Artwork is an artist collaborative team. All members are skilled in different disciplines, working together to create customized pieces such as logos and murals.
Not long after meeting, I reached out to Stafko and Black Pearl to revamp my logo.
The original logo, featured below, was designed by my dear friend, Stephen Campbell, in late summer of 2016 when I first began this blogging adventure (inspired by spending the summer as an intern for NYLON Magazine!).
It was important to me that the new design maintain a lot of the original elements – the moon, the lips, the crown, and the high top sneaker – as they’re symbolic of the different

facets of my personality. Also new is the slogan, which now proudly states: “Some days I look great. Some days I don’t. Everyday I SLAY!”
And, while it’s sad to close a door, I’m excited to open another and head into the future of We Aim To Slay. Because as we all know – everyday is an opportunity to SLAY!
